Aube (2021)

Aube marked a dawn of new beginnings, fuelled by the previous year’s lockdown: the first collection under my own name and first series of ceramic objects.

This collection is centered around the study of negative space, emphasised by the use of black, often glazed clay. The object itself, defined by strong dark lines, is no longer the sole focus ; the space around it now takes on new life.

Aube is made up of expressive pieces that are open to interpretation, to be used with or without flowers, as vases or sculptural objects.
