Ensemble

Ensemble is a series of stoneware objects built by hand using the traditional coiling technique and incorporating my ever-favourite spiral, an expressive motif representing the cycle of life, birth and renewal.

This collection is inspired by the spiral ironwork details found in my parents’ garden.

All objects in the series are twice-fired at high temperatures, glazed inside and fully watertight. The high stone and sand content of the clay creates a textured, matte finish in a light, yellow-toned beige.
