This stoneware vase is part of the Ensemble series, hand-built in late 2025 by Pauline Hagan using the ancient coiling technique. Twice-fired at high temperatures, it is glazed on the inside and fully watertight. The high stone and sand content of the clay creates a textured, matte finish in a light, yellow-toned beige.
Intended as a sculptural object, the vase can be used with or without flowers.
The Ensemble series incorporates Pauline’s ever-favourite spiral, a meaningful motif representing the cycle of life, birth and renewal. The pieces from this collection are inspired by the spiral ironwork details found in Pauline’s parents’ garden.
Height: 18.5cm
Width: 11.5cm (at its widest)
Weight: 0.7kg
